week #1 of Masters
I got here on saturday september 4th and i walked in and i was like wow im finally here. I got taken to my house and it was amazing i got lucky and got the new house and it is nice. as soon as i got here we left for outreach on tuesday and that was amazing it was basically like a kids camp but with just us masters kids we had so much fun had some team development classes to where we do tasks to grow as classes to where we can work as a team instead of individually. we had amazing worship services at camp it was so good words couldnt describe it. we had or covenant ring ceremony tuesday night and that was a hard night for me but i got through it. the next day we had some more classes and then we had our tribe ceremony which is basically where they split us up into small groups so where we can grow closer and get more personal (basically our prayer groups). we came home on thursday and we basically had a off day so i rested all day lol. today was my auditions for drumming and i think i did good hopefully i will be drumming for the worship team im keeping my fingers crossed. Tonight was amazing it was called rock ceremony i basically had to carry a rock that weighed 100+ pounds and go on a hike going through creeks and hoping trees with it but the deal was we couldnt put the rock down even if we stop. pastor mark had a story with it and basically he considered it to be our burdens that we were carrying on our hearts but along the way we had 2nd and 3rd yrs motivating us not to stop (i will admit i wanted to stop in all honesty but i kept going). the story was about a man who had bad marriage problems and it was becuz he was sexually aboused when he was little so he had had 3 divorces before he met an indian (this story was from 1900 and it a true story 2) and the indian made him do the same and hike the smokey mountains (we didnt do that thank goodness). but the indian and the guy made it to the top and told him do you wanna drop the rock becuz the man was tired and so he did and the guy gave his life to christ right then and there and he said he wanted to go home so the indian told him ok and told him to pick the rock back up and hike back down and the man thought he was crazy but the indian told him that carry that rock (burden) doesnt just go away when you become a christian you have to get rid of it so he hiked to the bottom of the mountain and he threw his rock(burden) in the river to get rid of it and thats exactly what we did and it felt so amazing afterwards to release those off my chest and watched them sick to the bottom and you have people cheering for you its was such a spiritual night for me. so this is just an update of what has kinda happened so far i will continue to do this hopefully on a regular basis.
